Paul J. Bean was born and raised in Michigan. Prior to his move to California in the mid-1990’s, he spent three and a half of the best years of his life attaining a Bachelor’s in English and a minor in Theatre Performance at Western Michigan University. Highlights of his university days include staging two of his one-act plays, writing and directing the short film Thirteen and spending a semester abroad in London.
After relocating in this strange paradise, Paul took a job with a local payroll-processing agency. Within minutes, he realized how vital it was for him to work in a creative environment. So he invested some sweat equity into his skill set and parlayed his gifts as an innovative writer into becoming a graphic designer, web developer and project manager.
Over the course of nearly 10 years, he’s worked as a lauded creative for clients in the entertainment, real estate and financial service industries. After racking up some truly wonderful experiences (and some awards along the way) in the creative arts/marketing arena, Paul opened his own design and marketing firm and is now Principal and Chief Creative Officer for Avant Garde Productions. His corporate site is www.StudioAGP.com.
In his spare time, Paul enjoys going to the beach, reading (poetry and the occasional pre-1950 novel), learning new technology, theology and biblical archeology. He loves taking day trips or long weekends wandering around California. He’s also an avid film buff—and to those who know him, this is an understatement. His favorite films (because you can’t have just one) range from Barcelona to The Third Man to Grand Illusion. |
